I love this easy prepare the night before recipe. The bread soaks up all the moisture and makes a delicious puffy french toast when fried the next morning!
Ingredients:
8 slices french bread (3/4-inch thick)
4 eggs
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons butter, softened
Directions:
1. Arrange bread in a 9X12 pan.
2. Beat eggs; blend in remaining ingredients.
3. Pour mixture over bread; turning slices to coat evenly.
4. Refrigerate overnight.
5. Fry in skillet over medium heat.
