lovely light and tasty breakfast., add memosas and it becomes elegant.
Ingredients:
6 slices hearty white bread, remove crusts if you desire to do so
butter
2 cups shredded chedar cheese
4 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
5 eggs
2 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
ground pepper
Directions:
1. fry bacon crisp, crumble
2. butter bread slices
3. in a buttered baking dish, alternate layers of bread with shredded cheese and crumbled bacon
4. in a bowl mix 5 eggs, well beaten with the milk, dry mustard and salt and pepper
5. pour egg mixture over bread and cheese
6. cover and let stand in refrigerator overnight
7. cover souffle with aluminum foil
8. set in pan of hot water to bake 350 degrees F one hour
9. let set for 5 minuites before serving
