I finally found the secret to crispy oven fries - parboil them first! Ingredients:
2 medium russet potatoes |
2 tablespoons olive oil |
garlic powder |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F 2. Scrub potatoes and slice into wedges lengthwise (don't peel) 3. Put potatoes in a pot of cold water and bring to a boil 4. Boil for 8-10 minutes 5. Drain and spread potatoes on baking sheet 6. Drizzle with olive oil, garlic powder and salt and pepper 7. Bake for 25 minutes 8. Turn potatoes over 9. Bake for 25 minutes more or until browned and crispy |
