Orzo and Wild rice salad

This recipe is submitted for a request. Nice change of pase salad suitable for both formal and informal dinners.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups raw wild rice, washed (225 g)
6 cups water
1/4 cup olive oil
1 lb orzo pasta
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
6 scallions, white part and 2 inches 5 cm green,chopped
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (optional)
freshly grated pepper
1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds
Directions:
1. In a large pot, combine the rice with water and simmer, covered, for 40 to 45 minutes.
2. Drain the rice well and transfer to a large salad bowl.
3. Toss with half of the oil.
4. In a large pot, cook the orzo in boiling water until al dente (cooked but firm not mushy).
5. Drain and add to the rice.
6. Drizzle with rest of oil, and lemon juice.
7. Add the scallions.
8. (Can be made to this point and refrigerated 1 day before using.) Just before serving season with salt (if using) and pepper, and stir in the almonds.
