My mom found this recipe in a copykat cookbook, not sure of the title, but if anyone has ever had Applebee's oriental chicken salad this is just like that. It is so so good. Try it!!
Ingredients:
1 chicken breast
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup corn flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 cups romaine lettuce
1 cup red cabbage
1 cup napa cabbage
1/2 cup shredded carrot
1 green onion
1 tablespoon almonds
1/3 cup chow mein noodles
3 tablespoons honey
1 1/2 tablespoons vinegar
4 teaspoons mayonnaise
1 tablespoon poupon mustard
1/8 teaspoon sesame
Directions:
1. Beat egg and milk, mix dry ingredients together.
2. cut chicken in 4-5 strips and dip in egg and then flour.
3. Fry for 5 minutes each side.
4. Mix together remaining ingredients excluding lettuce (honey, vinegar, mayo, poupon and sesame) with electric mixer.
5. Toss with lettuce and chicken.
6. Note time to make is estimated.
