Here is a fun cake that includes one of our family's favorite cookies.
Ingredients:
1 box betty crocker super moist devil's food cake mix
1 bag (18 oz.) double-stuf oreo cookies, crushed into large chunks
1 1/3 cups whole milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
glaze
one cup semi sweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon corn syrup
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375.
2. Grease a 12 cup Bundt cake pan.
3. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, milk, oil and eggs. Mix for one minute by hand or with mixer set at low speed.
4. Mix in crushed cookies.
5. Pour batter into Bundt pan and place on middle shelf of preheated oven.
6. Bake for one hour and 15 minutes, or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
7. Allow cake to cool for about 30 minutes before you remove from pan. While cake is cooling, prepare glaze.
8. In microwave or double boiler, melt together all glaze ingredients.
9. Drizzle glaze over top of cake. Add oreo cookies for garnish if you like.
10. Refrigerate and serve when chilled.
11. Note: Do not over crush the cookies. They should be chunks so some of the white stuff remains after the baking process.
