Orange Raisin Rice Blend

From a community cookbook. Nice with poultry and pork dishes.
Ingredients:
1 cup long grain rice, uncooked
2 bouillon cubes, chicken flavor
1/2 cup golden raisin
2 teaspoons orange rind
1/3 cup almonds, slivered
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups water, cold
1 tablespoon butter
Directions:
1. Combine above ingredients in a heavy saucepan.
2. Turn the heat to high.
3. When mixture thickens, reduce heat to medium-low.
4. Stir once with fork and cover tightly.
5. Simmer 12-14 minutes, or until all liquid is absorbed.
