Orange Pineapple Ice

Grandma Brubaker used to make this all the time in the summer. It was so cold out of the freezer it made my teeth hurt but was great on a hot humid summer day in Kansas.
Ingredients:
2 cups sugar
2 1/4 cups water
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
1 8 oz can crushed pineapple and juice
1 cup orange juice
6 tbsp lemon juice
2 very ripe bananas smashed very well
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and 2 cups water and bring to a boil over high heat, stirring until dissolved. Soften the gelatin in 1/4 cup cold water, then stir into the hot syrup mixture. Let cool completely.
2. Add fruits and fruit juices to the syrup, then pour into a refrigerator tray and freeze. Let soften slightly before serving.
