This is a no fuss loaf of quick bread with a wonderful orange flavor.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons soft shortening
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup orange juice
4 teaspoons grated orange rind
3 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
Directions:
1. Cream sugar, shortening and egg.
2. Add milk, orange juice and rind; mix well.
3. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt; mix well.
4. Fold in the chopped nuts.
5. Pour into greased loaf pan.
6. Bake at 350° for 70-80 minutes, until loaf tests done.
