Orange Grove Salad from the Plaza Hotel

this is refreshing, nutritious and would make a great breakfast dish or first course for dinner -
Ingredients:
6 oranges
6 grapefruits
1 head lettuce, bibb or boston
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups hellmann's mayonnaise
1/4 cup orange juice
1/8 teaspoon baker's superfine sugar
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
Directions:
1. Peel the oranges and grapefruit. Reserve 4 half shells of the grapefruits. Use a sharp knife to section both fruits.
2. Line the grapefruit half-shells with lettuce leaves and fill with alternating sections of grapefruit and orange.
3. Sprinkle each salad with chopped nuts.
4. Serve with Citrus Mayonnaise on the side.
5. For Citrus Mayonnaise: stir ingredients together and chill until ready to use. You can put this in the freezer for 15 minutes to chill faster.
