This was an experiment for dinner tonight, so it comes strait from my head, but it turned out lovely!
Ingredients:
1 (16 ounce) can whole berry cranberry sauce
12 ounces applesauce
1 orange, zest of
1 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
1/2 tablespoon clove
2 -3 dashes ginger
2 tablespoons butter
4 -6 pork chops
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan combine everything but the butter and the pork chops. Mix well and let everything simmer for about 10 minutes, until everything is bubbling and well-combined. Melt the butter in a frying pan and sear each side of the pork chops until they are browned. Turn the heat down to med-low and pour the hot cranberry apple mix on top of the pork chops. Cover and let simmer for about 15-20 minute until pork chops are thoroughly cooked, but nice and tender. Serve and enjoy!
