Omas Sauerkirschen Torte- Sour Cherry Cake

This is GREAT cake- the recipe was given to me by my ex-step - mother in law (follow that one!). It is the best I have ever tasted in my sour cherry travels!!!
Ingredients:
base
4 60g eggs or 5 50g eggs
100g sugar
250g mixed nuts
100g grated chocolate or 3 heaped tbspns chocolate powder
vanilla essence
filling
3 bottles of sour cherries (big bottles)
cornflour
serving
greek yoghurt or sour cream
Directions:
1. Base: Cream eggs and sugar with vanilla essence.
2. Fold in nuts and chocolate.
3. Pour into greased 30 cm baking form.
4. Bake for 20-30 minutes in a 220 deg C oven.
5. Allow to cool before adding filling.
6. Filling: Pour cherries with juice from one bottle into saucepan and warm slowly.
7. Mix with cornflour with some of the reserved to a paste.
8. Thicken sour cherries mix with cornflour until reasonably firm.
9. Add more juice if necessary.
10. Allow to cool to lukewarm temperature.
11. Pour into cooked and cooled base.
12. Serve: with natural yoghurt or sour cream.
