Olive Garden Bolognese Sauce

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
1 carrot, finely chopped
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
1/2 lb ground beef
6 ounces italian sausage, casing removed
1 cup red wine
18 ounces crushed tomatoes
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
1 teaspoon chopped sage
salt and pepper
12 ounces pasta, cooked and drained
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a large sauce pan.
2. Add onion, carrot, and celery, saute over medium low heat 5 minutes.
3. Add beef and sausage, brown over medium heat, breaking up the meat, cook until no longer pink, drain.
4. Add wine, bring to a boil and cook until reduced by half.
5. Add tomatoes, garlic, herbs, salt and pepper and simmer 1 hour.
6. Serve over hot cooked pasta.
