This recipe is best when Cling or raggedy type peaches are used, but it still turns out well with either pie filling or canned peaches or even a combination of both!
Ingredients:
1 cup self-rising flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 stick butter
1 can of fruit pie filling or canned fruit
Directions:
1. Melt butter in 13 x 9 glass baking dish while preheating oven to 375 degrees.
2. Take care not to burn butter.
3. Remove from oven and let cool while mixing batter together.
4. Mix flour, sugar and milk together and pour this mixture into the center of the dish containing the butter.
5. Distribute fruit or pie filling evenly over the batter.
6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
7. The crust will rise up around the fruit while baking.
8. NOTE: If using apple or peach pie filling, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon may be added. To use fresh blueberries in this recipes, bring 2 cups fresh blueberries with 1/4 cup sugar in pan on stovetop to a boil, then pour over batter in baking dish.
