Adapted from More Family Favorites - A Collection of Recipes by Bethel Temple Missionettes of Demores, Georgia. This recipe has a mixture of whole wheat flour and regular flour.
Ingredients:
1 (1/4 ounce) package active dry yeast
2 cups warm water
3/4 cup margarine or 3/4 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups all-purpose flour
6 teaspoons aluminum-free baking powder
2 teaspoons sea salt
Directions:
1. Dissolve yeast in warm water. Cream margarine, sugar and egg. Add yeast mixture. Add remaining ingredients, one cup at a time. Mix well. Put into greased muffin tins or roll them out. Bake at 450*F for 10 minutes.
