Old Fashioned Walnut Bread

A delicious bread recipe.
Ingredients:
3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 egg, lightly beaten
1/4 cup melted shortening
1 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups walnuts
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350*.
2. Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt into large bowl.
3. Add egg, shortning, milk and vanilla.
4. Stir until all is moistened.
5. Stir in the walnuts.
6. Bake in a 9x5 loaf pan for 1 hour, 20 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
