Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter ( has
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 (14 oz) can condensed milk

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in milk, then stir in condensed milk.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Stir in sugar very slowly.
  4. Boil at medium heat until thick and light brown, stirring all the time.
  5. This takes about an hour.
  6. Add vanilla essence and beat until thick.
  7. Grease baking tray with butter and pour mixture in to set.
  8. Set in fridge until hard then cut into small pieces.
  9. This takes lots of patience but is well worth it when it turns out!
