This Apple Pie is made from All Homemade Ingredients & is Perfect with a Scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe taken from Chicago Tribune September 27, 1956
Ingredients:
pastry dough (your favorite recipe) for a double crust 9 inch pie.
10 to 12 medium size tart cooking apples
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup sifted flour
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
Directions:
1. For 10 to 12 Servings Prepare your Favorite Recipe for a Double Crust 9 Inch Pie. Line the Bottom & Sides of a 13x9x2 pan with the

3. Peel & Core 10 to 12 Medium size Tart Cooking Apples.
4. Cut into 1/4 Inch Slices and Spread Evenly over Pastry.
5. Combine 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar, & Granulated Sugar, 1 Cup
6. Sifted Flour, 2 teaspoons of Cinnamon, & 1/2 teaspoon of Salt
7. Work in 1/2 Cup Butter until Mixture is Crumbly.
8. Sprinkle Mixture over Apples. Bake 25 Minutes 425 degrees,
