Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 medium-to-large apple, cut into
  • 2/3 cup regular oatmeal (not instant )
  • 1/3 cup raisin bran cereal (original recipe calls for regular bran)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 medium banana , sliced in half lengthwise, then chopped
  • 1 -3 ice cube (optional)

Directions:

  1. Combine the water and orange juice in a medium pan.
  2. Add raisins and chopped apples; bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in oatmeal and Raisin Bran, reduce heat, and cook for 6 minutes. Stir every 2 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat; mix in cinnamon and banana pieces.
  5. Optional: Add ice cube(s) and stir until they are gone.
  6. I like this smooth and creamy; add a little hot water if too dry.
