Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups quick-cooking oats
1 cup chopped nuts
72 milk chocolate hershey chocolate kisses
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, shortening and sugars.
3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
4. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.
5. Stir in oats and nuts.
6. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned.
8. Immediately press a chocolate kiss in the center of each cookie.
9. Remove to wire racks.
