Ingredients:

  • 1 (10 oz) can mushrooms, drained
  • 1 (1 1/4 oz) package lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 cup ginger ale , canda dry's my favourite
  • 2 tbsp flour (optional)

Directions:

  1. Place stewing beef in crock pot. Stir in mushrooms, soup mix and ginger ale.
  2. Cook over low for 6-7 hours or high for 4-5 hours. You can cook it longer without a problem. Times may vary depending on your crock pot's temperature. I have thrown frozen beef cubes in and cooked for 8-9 hours with great results.
  3. IF YOU WANT THICKER GRAVY: When done, scoop a cup into the gravy and mix the flour in the cup until completely dissolved. Pour back into the crock pot and heat, covered, over high until thickened, approximately 15 minutes.
  4. You can serve over cooked potatoes and veggies. You can also add baby potatoes and veggies to the crock pot for the last 2 hours of cooking the stew.
