This is a great brownie recipe that I've made for years. Easy to make and different from the standard brownie.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup unsifted flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 (12 ounce) package nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
2. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
3. In a small saucepan, combine butter, sugar, and water.
4. Bring just to a boil, then remove from heat.
5. Add 6 ounces (1 cup) chocolate morsels and vanilla extract.
6. Stir until morsels melt and mixture is smooth.
7. Transfer to a large bowl.
8. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
9. Gradually blend in flour mixture.
10. Stir in remaining 6 ounces (1 cup) of chocolate morsels and the nuts.
11. Spread into a greased 9-inch square baking pan.
12. Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
13. Cool completely.
14. Cut into 2 1/4-inch squares.
