I have had this recipe since I was in the 9th grade in Home Ec. this is what we cooked. My family loves it, when I take it to potlucks there is none left so I think it is a great recipe and can be quick, too.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground chuck
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped fine
3 tablespoons margarine
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can tomato soup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup mushroom
1 cup water
1/2 cup macaroni, boiled
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Directions:
1. Saute' green pepper and onion in butter over medium heat, add beef and mushrooms and brown.
2. Cook macaroni.
3. Add rest of ingredients (with the exception of the two cheeses) along with Macaroni and gently mix.
4. Pour into a 2 quart casserole dish. Sprinkle with cheese/ bake in preheated 375 degree F. oven for 30 minutes.
