Crock pot ham and bean soup
Ingredients:
1 lb navy beans, dried
6 cups water
1 cup carrots, chopped
1 cup onions, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups potatoes, diced
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon minced onion
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup diced smoked ham
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 tablespoon chopped chives
Directions:
1. The night before, put the beans into a large bowl.Cover with water and soak overnight.
2. The next morning, drain the water and put the beans into a 4 quart crock pot.
3. Add 6 cups of water, the carrots, celery, potatoes, garlic powder, minced onion, salt, pepper, smoked ham, bouillon cubes and chives.
4. Stir well
5. Cook on low setting for 8-10 hours
