My Very Favorite Cheese Ball

Tried and true. My very favorite. Easy, delicious, and always a hit when served. So simple and wonderful.
Ingredients:
2 -3 (8 ounce) packages philadelphia cream cheese, softened
1 small jar dried beef, chopped or shredded
1 small can sliced black olives, drained, patted dry
1 bunch green onions, thinly sliced
pecans, hand chopped coarsely, enough to cover outside of ball
Directions:
1. In large bowl place cream cheese, stir together
2. Add dried beef, olives, green onions
3. Combine evenly
4. With hands make into a ball
5. Roll or hand place, by patting *gently* the coarse pecans over entire ball
6. The cheese ball is prettier if the pecans are not pressed in too deeply
7. Place the ball on board or platter, surrounded by buttery crackers
