My Mom's Famous White Rice

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, sliced in two halves
  • 3 dashes salt

Directions:

  1. Pour water and white rice in a rice cooker.
  2. Add butter and olive oil.
  3. Slice the garlic clove in half and add both halves.
  4. Slice a small onion in half and add the onion half to the rice cooker. (You can remove the onion half once the rice is done cooking, or it can be eaten.).
  5. Add salt.
  6. Cook in covered rice cooker.
