My Greek Salad

Delicious and easy Greek Salad I learned in a local cooking class many years ago.
Ingredients:
salad
1 small head lettuce,bite size pieces.
2 stalks celery,sliced
1 small cucumber,peeled and sliced
1 green pepper,cut in strips
4 oz. feta cheese,crumbled
1 tomato cubed or 12 cherry tomatoes
1/2c black olives
dressing
2/3c olive oil
1/3c wine vinegar
1 tsp salt,or to taste
1/4 tsp pepper
1 garlic clove,minced
1 tsp oregano
Directions:
1. Combine ingredients for dressing in a jar and shake well. Refrigerate till serving time. Place lettuce in large salad bowl. Add remaining vegetables and olives and toss. Sprinkle feta cheese over top. Just before serving,pour dressing on and toss. Serve with pita bread halves.
2. Note:Dressing can be made a few days ahead. Salad is perfect for picnics because the dressing can be brought in a jar,the salad can be put in a plastic bag or covered bowl and the bread can be kept in a plastic bag. Just assemble at picnic.
