My Families Favorite Chili Recipe

I've tried many chili recipes and i've found this is by far the favorite in my family... Try this as a dinner or use as a easy chip dip appetizer.
Ingredients:
3 lbs ground beef (or use ground turkey)
1 small onions or 1 small minced onion
1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon season-all salt
salt and pepper
1 (3 ounce) package french onion soup
1 (46 ounce) tomato juice
1 (15 ounce) can light kidney beans
1 (15 ounce) can dark red kidney beans
2 (15 ounce) cans chili beans
2 (14 ounce) cans diced tomatoes (chili style)
4 large potatoes (diced)
2 (11 ounce) cans mushrooms
1/2 cup chili powder
1 tablespoon garlic salt
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 dash hot sauce (more according to taste)
salt and pepper
1 dash ground red pepper
Directions:
1. Brown Hamburger.
2. Add cumim, Season All and Salt and Pepper.
3. Add the package of French Onion Soup
4. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
5. Add all canned items and allow to simmer while cutting up potatoes -
6. Cut up potatoes and stick in Microwave safe bowl with water to cover. Allow to cook in Microwave for approximately 8 minutes.
7. Strain and add potatoes to mixture.
8. Add the rest of the ingrediants and simmer for approximately an hour or until the beans are soft.
9. Serve by itself or with nacho chips.
10. Enjoy.
