  1. Combine vegetable, sprinkle with salt and let stand for 2 hours and then drain. Boil dressing for 5 minutes, add vegetables. Boil for 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Add 1 tsp butter and 1 cup whipping cream. Pour into pint jars and seal.
