Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. BODY:
  2. Heat oven at 180 C.Grease and line 10 1/2 x 7 rectangular pan.
  3. Sift flour and baking powder together.
  4. Beat butter and sugar until creamy.
  5. Add eggs one at a time and continue beating until thick and creamy.
  6. Add vanilla and milk,beat again to mix.
  7. Gradually add flour to the butter mixture and beat until smooth.
  8. Pour the mixture in the prepared pan.
  9. Bake on 180 C for 30-35 minutes or till cake is done.
  10. Turn cake on wire rack and leave to cool completely.
  11. Using a marker/paper stencil,draw the outline of the guitar's body onto cake, and cut out.
  12. Cut into two layers.
  13. NECK:
  14. Make another batter using the above cake recipe.
  15. Pour half batter in 6 x 3 rectangular pan.Use remaining batter to make cupcakes.
  16. Bake and cool completely.
  17. Cut into two layers.
  18. WHITE CHOCOLATE FUDGE:
  19. Microwave chocolate and butter in a bowl on high for a minute.Stir until chocolate is completely melted.
  20. Leave to cool at room temperature (or chill for 5-10 min.).
  21. Whisk the mixture until it is thickened.
  22. ICING:
  23. Using an electric mixer,whip the cream with icing sugar.
  24. Beat on medium-high speed until peaks form.
  25. Transfer 1/4 cup cream to a bowl,add cocoa powder.
  26. Put the cocoa cream in a piping bag to draw the outline of guitar cake.
  27. Ganache:
  28. Place the chopped chocolate in a bowl.Keep aside.
  29. Heat the cream in a saucepan over medium heat.
  30. Bring just to a boil.
  31. Immediately pour the boiling cream over the chocolate and allow to stand for 2 minutes.
  32. Stir with a fork until dissolve and smooth.
  33. Leave to room temperature for an hour until cool.
  34. Refrigerate for 1/2 an hour.
  35. Take out and whisk until thick and spreadable.
  36. ASSEMBLE:
  37. On serving platter,place one cake layer of both cakes(attach cake pieces with cream Icing).
  38. Sprinkle sugar syrup(if using).
  39. Spoon whipped cream over,top with the second layer.
  40. Cover entire cake with icing.
  41. Spread ganache to cover the neck of the cake,also for making soundhole and saddle.
  42. Pipe white chocolate fudge to draw strings,frets and to make knobs.
  43. Pipe cocoa cream along edge of guitar for an outline.
  44. Spread icing/white chocolate fudge on cupcakes.
  45. Draw musical notes with remaining ganache.
