Delicious side dish that I especially like to make with beef on special occasions. If you prefer, sauté mushrooms in olive oil instead of butter.
Ingredients:
1 lb whole mushroom
1 -2 tablespoon butter
2 beef bouillon cubes
1/2 cup hot water
4 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 cup cream
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 dash pepper
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2-1 cup parmesan cheese
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350°F.
2. Sauté mushrooms in 1 to 2 tablespoons of butter.
3. Dissolve beef cubes in hot water.
4. Melt 4 tablespoons butter and blend with flour.
5. Add cream, salt and pepper, and beef broth.
6. Top with mixture of bread crumbs and cheese.
7. Bake in buttered casserole for 30 minutes at 350°F.
