Mushroom Cheese Bread

Ingredients:
6 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
1 tablespoon butter
4 green onions, chopped
1 loaf french bread (1 lb.)
1 (8 ounce) carton spreadable garlic and cream cheese with herbs
2 cups shredded italian cheese blend (8 oz.)
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions:
1. In a big skillet, saute mushrooms in butter until tender.
2. Add onions; cook and stir until liquid has evaporated; salt and pepper to taste; set aside.
3. Cut French bread in half lengthwise and then widthwise; spread cut sides with cream cheese.
4. Combine the Italian cheese, mayonnaise, and Parmesan cheese; spread over bread.
5. Top with mushroom mixture.
6. Place on baking sheet; bake in preheated 350° oven for 20 minutes or until cheese is melted.
7. If desired, broil 4-6 inches from heat for 2-4 minutes or until golden brown.
8. Slice and serve warm.
