Mrs. Singletary's Pecan Pie

This is a family recipe I got from my mother-in-law.
Ingredients:
1 1/3 cups brown sugar
1 1/3 cups log cabin pancake syrup
3 beaten eggs or 3/4 cup egg substitute
1/2 cup margarine, melted
1 1/2 cups pecan pieces
1 teaspoon vanilla
pecan halves (to garnish)
2 unbaked pie shells
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients except pie shells.
2. Pour into unbaked pie shells.
3. Place pecan halves on top.
4. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
