Mountain Sausage Gravy For Biscuits

Nothing says country like biscuits and gravy. Start your day off right with a coronary on a plate. You have your choice of leaving the sausage fat in or draining it off after cooking. I like to drain it off for a cleaner flavor. Read more . Traditionally made with pork sausage, try using turkey sausage if you want a healthier dish.
Ingredients:
1/2 sausage (your choice)
3 tbsp flour
2 c. milk
large skillet or fry pan
Directions:
1. Over medium-high heat, brown the sausage in the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks.
2. Keep or drain the fat.
3. Sprinkle the flour over the browned sausage.
4. If you left the fat in, stir constantly until the flour is absorbed and the mixture is smooth.
5. Slowly add the milk, stirring constantly and continue to cook until the gravy is creamy and bubbly, about 3 minutes.
6. Serve over fresh biscuits.
