My mother's recipe loved by all. This Stuffing is not DRY it is very moist, when done it is thich and sticky. It might look not done but it is and the taste is great. When done in a baking dish it will be dryer. Read more . Try it in the dish first. Can be made and served in the turkey or out.
Ingredients:
ingredients
1 pkg. bacon ( regular or smoked )
1 pkg. pork sausage ( jimmy dean or equivalent )
1 large onion any type
1 loaf of stuffing bread or old dryed bread
2 tbs. bell poultry seasoning
water as needed
1 cup chopped walnuts ( optional )
Directions:
1. If you have a meat grinder grind the bacon, sausage and onion together into a large bowl.
2. If not chop the bacon and onion mix with the sausage into a large bowl. Set aside.
3. In a medium bowl break the dried loaf of bread into small pieces. Then mix all the ingredient together including the bell seasoning and adding water to make soft using your hands mix till you can form the mixture into a mushy ball.
4. This is now ready to be stuffed in the Trukey or Oven Roaser Chicken
5. If you know you'll need more for a larger crowd make another batch and place in a loaf pan srpayed with non-stick cooking spray. Place in oven with the bird or alone. Bake till it gets firm about 40 minutes at 350
6. NOTE:
