Mother's Cabbage Relish

This is one of my mother's favorite recipes. It could be served with any type of meal, but we like to have it with pork and barbecue. The use of a food processor will make preparation easy in shredding the cabbage.
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon turmeric
1 head cabbage, chopped fine
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
Directions:
1. Combine first four ingredients in saucepan, boil 1 minute.
2. Pour hot mixture over slaw.
3. Chill.
4. In a covered dish relish will keep for up to one week.
