With a dip that is this healthy and this tasty you don't need to say no. Serve with low fat crackers, pita wedges, pretzels or crudités. Parsley or coriander can be used depending on availability.
Ingredients:
1 garlic clove
1/4 cup chopped parsley
400 g canned chick-peas
1/4 cup lemon juice
8 teaspoons tahini paste
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon tabasco sauce
Directions:
1. Chop garlic and parsley finely.
2. Place garlic and parsley in a blender or food processor. Add chick peas, lemon juice, Tahini paste, salt and Tabasco sauce and process until very smooth. Approximately 1minute. Scrapping down the sides, as needed.
3. Place dip in a serving bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
4. Place bowl in the center of a large platter. Arrange prepared vegetables, pita wedges and pretzels and serve.
