Moroccan Inspired Jewelled Couscous

Something I whipped up for my grandma's birthday dinner / going away party this weekend. My grandparents are off to Spain tomorrow and are taking a side trip to Tangiers, so what better way to celebrate!
Ingredients:
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon fresh-grated ginger
pinch ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground saffron
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
juice and grated zest of one orange
1 3/4 cups vegetable broth
1/2 cup dried cranberries
1 1/2 cups whole wheat couscous
Directions:
1. Bring cumin, ginger, cloves, saffron, salt, pepper, orange zest and juice and vegetable broth to a boil.
2. Add the dried cranberries, reduce the heat and simmer 5 minutes.
3. Return the mixture to a boil, stir in the couscous and remove from heat
4. Cover, and let stand 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve.
