Fun & easy to make. Melt in -mouth delicious
Ingredients:
1/2 lb butter or margarine
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups flour (sift 3 times)
2 tsp. vanilla or lemon juice
6 egg yolks, separate, beat white stiff
2 tsp. baking powder
topping mix
1 cup gr. walnuts or pecans
2 tbsp. sugar
few drops lemon juice
Directions:
1. Cream butter.
2. Add sugar and egg yolks and vanilla.
3. Beat until smooth
4. Add flour
5. Mix well; then add beaten egg whites.
6. Pour batter into greased and floured 11 x 16 or 9 x 13 in. pan
7. Sprinkle with nut mixture on top.
8. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 min.
9. When cool , cut into moon shape
10. with glass and cut vertically with knife to make half moons
11. Sprinkle with powdered sugar
