Mom's Spaghetti Bake

Love mom's spaghetti bake... You can use any type of pasta...would be great with penne or ziti pastas
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef or 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
1 cup chopped onion
1 garlic clove, minced
1 (28 ounce) can chopped tomatoes
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dried basil
8 ounces cooked drained spaghetti
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
Directions:
1. Preheat oven 375°F.
2. In large pot, cook ground beef, chopped onion and garlic. Drain off fat.
3. Stir in undrained tomatoes, sauce, mushrooms, sugar, oregano, salt and basil.
4. Bring to a gentle boil uncovered for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
5. Remove from heat; stir in spaghetti.
6. Place 1/2 of mixture in 13x9 baking dish; sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
7. Top with remaining mixture and sprinkle with parmesan cheese - and use any extra mozzarella cheese if desire.
8. Bake for 30 minutes.
