This is my moms own recipe she hated the cocoa version of this so when we were little she came up with this one , my dad didnt like it on the biscuts ....so when my mom made this always on a saturday maybe once a month or so. Read more .my dad had eggs and tomato and bell pepper gravy over biscuits......thus the name ......... hope you enjoy ...its different but rather tasty.........the open buttered biscuits gives it that Hmmmm taste ............. youll have to forgive my mom tried to tell me the recipe she never measured anything or wrote anything down she just fixed it .so it was difficult to get the measurements out we had to make it .........so a few years ago i wrote it all down......
Ingredients:
1- large box of milk chocolate pudding and pie filling the cooking kind
1/2- can evaporated milk
2- eggs beaten
3-cups milk
1- 2 cans biscuit
butter for spreading on open biscuits
Directions:
1. place biscuits on baking sheet and bake while making chocolate
2. in a large saucepan, add pudding mix , eggs and 1/2 cup evaporated milk..
3. stir until blended
4. on medium heat continue stirring............. until all blended
5. then slowly add the rest of the milk measuring 4 cups total of milk...
6. cook until it comes to a boil , reduce heat and stirring till it thickens slightly ....it will be thinner than pudding more like a gravy consistency
7. serve over hot open buttered biscuits ...........yummmm
