Mom's recipe for lasagna.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 (16 ounce) can canned crushed tomatoes (or 1 lb. can)
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
5 cups cottage cheese
2 medium eggs
1 tablespoon parsley flakes
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 lb mozzarella cheese
1 (16 ounce) box lasagna noodles
Directions:
1. Sauce Directions:.
2. Brown ground beef; drain the fat.
3. Add all other ingredients and simmer for 30 minutes.
4. Cheese:.
5. Mix all ingredients except Mozzarella cheese together and refrigerate.
6. Lasagna:.
7. Boil noodles and drain well.
8. 1 layer of noodles in pan.
9. Spread 1/2 of cheese mixture on top of noodles.
10. Spread 1/3 of Mozzarella cheese on top of cheese mixture.
11. Spread 1/2 of meat mixture on top of Mozzarella cheese.
12. Repeat layers once more and then top with Mozzarella cheese.
13. Bake at 375°F for 30-45 minutes.
