This was my moms fish chowder recipe that has been passed down.
Ingredients:
1 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup oleo
4 cups peeled and dried potatoes
2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp basil
2 cups water
1 pound clams, cod, torsk, or haddock (cut in cubes)
1 can whole kernel mexican corn
1 tall can evaporated milk
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together in large pot.
2. Simmer for 1 hour.
