Mom's Favorite Fruit Salad

Mom got this recipe from the head cook when she worked at our middle school. She has been making it for every family gathering since, and I've even sent it to school for my son's birthday treat. His teacher asked for the recipe, and all the kids ate it up! (Cooking time is Chill time)
Ingredients:
1 (3 ounce) package instant tapioca pudding mix
1 (3 ounce) package lemon jell-o gelatin
1 cup mini marshmallows
2 (11 ounce) cans mandarin oranges
2 (15 ounce) cans mixed chunky fruit
2 red apples, sliced with skin on
1 cup red seedless grapes, halved
2 bananas, sliced
Directions:
1. Drain juices off cans of fruit and use to cook with pudding and jello.
2. Boil the tapioca, jello and fruit juice mixture 1-2 minutes or until liquid is clear.
3. Remove from heat and add marshmallows. Stir until melted.
4. Cool.
5. Mix fruit together. Pour cooled pudding/jello mixture over fruit and chill.
