This is the recipe my mom used to make. She used to get round steak and cut it up, but I find lean stew meat is much quicker. She also used onions and butter, but I don't like onions and the butter wasn't as healthy. See how easy it is to make it your own??? :)
Ingredients:
1 lb lean stew meat
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can beef consomme
1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/8 teaspoon minced garlic
6 ounces sour cream
3 tablespoons cornstarch, and water, to thicken
3 cups egg noodles
Directions:
1. Sautee garilc in the Olive Oil.
2. Season meat with salt and pepper.
3. Brown the beef in the Olive Oil.
4. Add consomme and water.
5. Simmer for an hour on low.
6. Add sour cream.
7. Thicken with corn starch and water mixture to desired thickness.
8. Serve over rice or egg noodles.
9. Enjoy!
