Mom Florence's Mincemeat Applesauce Cake

My mom Florence made this cake. I think it came by way of Aunt Shirley. It's moist and has a good flavor.
Ingredients:
1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon clove
3 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 cups mincemeat
1 cup raisins, chopped
2 cups applesauce
1 cup nuts, chopped
Directions:
1. Cream shortening and sugar.
2. In another bowl, sift together dry ingredients.
3. Combine dry ingredients and sugar mixture.
4. Add eggs.
5. Add mincemeat, raisins, applesauce and nuts.
6. Bake at 325° for 45 to 60 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
