Molho cru (muhl-CREW) is a Portuguese condiment served mainly with fish. This dish gets better with age.
Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups diced onion
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup cider vinegar
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/4 teaspoon saffron threads
3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
1 1/2 tablespoons minced fresh cilantro
Directions:
1. Combine first 6 ingredients in a bowl; cover and chill at least 24 hours. Stir in parsley and cilantro just before serving.
