This garlicky tasty sauce can be poured over seafood, meats and also as a dip for tostones (plantain fritters). I found it online .
Ingredients:
1 green bell pepper, chopped
4 teaspoons crushed garlic
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup olive oil
1 cup tomato sauce
5 leaves recao or 1/2 cup cilantro leaf, chopped
salt, to taste
pepper, to taste
1 1/2 cups water
4 teaspoons salt
4 ounces capers
1 ounce vinegar
1 (4 ounce) can roasted red peppers
Directions:
1. In medium pan, add oil and saute peppers and onions.
2. Add remaining ingredients, except tomato sauce, and cook for 5 minutes.
3. Add tomato sauce.
4. Serve!
