Real Devonshire Cream or clotted cream is a natural product, but in the 1951 Fannie Merritt Farmer Cookbook Little,Brown and Company Boston there is the following recipe. Ingredients:
1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
Directions:
1. Mash cheese and heat in the cream.
2. Beat until smooth.
3. Serve with hot scones and raspberry jam or on fresh or stewed fruit. Anything you like Enjoy Ken.
