Ingredients:
1 lb pear, halved
1 lemon, juice of
1/2 cup sugar or 1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons chopped fresh spearmint
Directions:
1. Peal pears and poach in water and lemon juice. Drain, reserving 1 cup of the liquid.
2. Combine the liquid with sugar or honey and heat until sugar dissolves.
3. Add mint and simmer 10 minutes. Pour hot liquid over pears. Cool.
